The New Ferrari Roma unveiled in Rome
Today November the 13th has become the day of car launches, Earlier today McLaren unveiled the Elva but more about that in a separate post. This post is all about the dope new Ferrari Roma which Ferrari just unveiled during an event honouring their most devoted customers, the event was naturally held at Roma, one of Italy's most beautiful cities.
The Ferrari Roma is a new mid-front-engined 2+ roadster, think refined handling and of course performance. The design is modern but takes inspiration from iconic Ferraris from the past. The design team also took inspiration from Rome, it represents a contemporary representation of life in the city of Rome in the 1950s and ‘60s. I am told the design transports the concept of “la Dolce Vita” to the present.
The Roma could be called an icon of Italian design, I mean look it! Those lines look super dope from every angle, I really love the design of the new rear light cluster.
The engine powering this new beauty is the same V8 Turbo engine found in the 488, Pista, F8 Tributo, basically, this same engine has won engine of the year four years on the spin. Ferrari's aim was to make the Roma best in class so they upped the power to 620 CV or 612 Horsepower in old English at 7500rpm. There is more good news, The Ferrari Roma has the same 8-speed DCT gearbox found in the epic SF90 Stradale.
