2021 Lexus IS will not be coming to the UK

Good bad news time for Lexus fans! Today Lexus teased a preview pic of the new Lexus IS saloon car complete with a low-resolution all-black teaser of an image to get you way excited beyond the redline.

You only have to drool for a week because the big reveal is actually next week on the 9th of June. If I was BMW 3 series I'd be very worried right about now.

That full-width lighting strip looks delicious cool and future-forward in my eyes. Now that bad news part, are you sitting down? Here goes... Lexus isn't releasing said IS Saloon in the European market with the UK included.

Why I hear you ask? Well, it all comes down to simple economics, it turns out the previous IS generations didn't sell as well as expected because Europeans and us UK folk prefered buying SUVs instead. To put it another way 80% of all lexuses (is that a word?) are SUVs which is a huge chunk and your answer. More news on the 9th.
