The Monza sp1 and sp2 are limited edition supercars Ferrari are putting under a new category called Icone or icon in plain vanilla English. The story goes that new were inspired by iconic racing Ferrari sports cars from the 1950, automotive icons like the Ferrari MM, the 750 and the 860 Monza.

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but it’s hard not to call the SP1 and SP2 insanely beautiful, at least in my eyes. A perfect blend of old and modern technologies. The cars might be inspired by icons from the past but the new SP1 and SP2 are built using some of the most advanced technologies and materials.

So what is the difference between the SP1 and SP2 then?

The best way to think about the Monza SP1 is to think about it as the closest thing yet to an F1 car you can drive legally on the road, it has a single seat just like current F1 cars and racing cars from the past.

The SP2 is essentially the same except it has 2 seats, one for the would be driver and another for a designated passenger so you can share that visceral driving experience. The 2 cars were designed as an uncompromising road car rocket ship for a truly unique experience.

How much Horse power under the hood?

Ferrari say the Monza cars have the most powerful engines ever produced by Ferrari. Under the hood is a naturally aspirated V12 rated at 810 CV or just under 800 horse power, 798 horse power to be exact. All that power translates to a 0 - 60 time of just 2.9 seconds, or a 0 - 200kph at just 7.9 seconds.
