Senna vs Aventador SVJ vs Porsche GT2 RS Siverstone Shootout

A McLaren Senna vs New Lamborghini Aventador SVJ vs Porsche GT2 RS an epic shoot out between 3 insane supercars organised by Topaz Detailing at the Silverstone international circuit in England. driving each supercar is professional racing driver Oliver James Webb.

Senna, also known as the MacLaren Senna named after an F1 driver of the same name is the most expensive car in the shootout costing £800,000 or $1,046,846.40 US which contrasts with £400,000 or around $523,423.20 for the Aventador SVJ. The cheapest car of the 3 is the £300,000 or $392,567.40 for the Porsche GT2 RS).

Powering the McLaren Senna is a 4 litre Twin Turbo V8 which produces 800PS and a massive 800Nm of earth-shattering torque, thanks to the huge active rear wing on the Senna and some clever aero flaps at the front the Senna produces 800KG of downforce which is quite a lot.

The wheels of the senna were wearing Pirelli Trofeo R tyres, tires that will need quite a bit of heat to get them performing at their best.

This is not an SVJ Truck

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is powered by a 6.5 litre naturally aspirated V12 symphony producing a very respectable 770PS in concert with 720nm of thick torque. The glorious V12 engine drives all four wheels and is mated to an automated manual gearbox, the SVJ fully known as the Super Veloce Jota is the last of the iconic Lamborghini Aventador series, as such it is also the most hardcore Aventador there is.

Connecting the wheels to the road are Pirelli Pzero Corsa tires. Like the Senna, the SVJ has a few active aero tricks up its sleeve which Lamborghini call the ALA active aerodynamics. The ALA system is so good it helped the SVJ to the fastest lap around the Nurburg ring in a production car, a lap time of 6:44.97.

Interestingly the previous lap record was held by the Porsche GT2 RS which set a time of 6:47.3. As it happens the third car on our shootout list happens to be a Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

Like the Aventador SVJ, the GT2 RS is currently the most extreme version of the Porsche 911 Turbo. Driving the wheels is a 3.8 Litre twin Turbo flat-6 that produces 700PS and 750nm or delicious torque to turn the wheels.

The eagle-eyed would see the GT2 RS in the video looks quite different from a regular GT2 RS that is because the one in the video has the Weissach Package which means it is quite a bit lighter than standard thanks to carbon fibre parts. In addition, this GT2 RS is also set up with a Manthey Racing geometry set up, on the wheels are the almost slick Michelin Cup 2 R tires.

The most hardcore and most track-focused of the three cars is arguably the Senna, but all three share the accolade of being crazy fast around a track while being totally legal to drive on the road.

Oliver James Webb got to know each car intimately with a few laps around the international Silverstone circuit before the shoot out, no stones were left unturned. It must also be said there were spots of rain on the track while the Senna was out setting its lap time.
